@ Petals~
Petals-Life have been pretty fine, just that the hours are long when u have to stand for 8 hours on heels.. is pretty tortouring at times eh.. esp when its like early in the morning, half awake and all.. ZzZ.. things were made worst with demanding and bossy SFT.. well i knw she's doing her job, thats why i try to compromise, ignore her bossy tone and do what she wants.. but sometimes i just feel like asking her to shutup when she repeat herself over n over again with some sickening arrogant tone of voice... grrrr.. *ignore ignore ignore* keep telling myself i cant lose my coooool..

oh yeah for those who are working in Rosette thought of taking a photo of our staff meal to show u guys.. haha! just in case u guys are curious hows the food like.. its pretty alright.. one day meat, one day fish, alternate..if u're lucky u get fried rice.. *winks at mich!* haha...


working at Petals do let me see a number of weird ppl~ we have some regular guests that visits us like twice to thrice a week.. they will always ask for all the weird stuff..

like theres this gentleman name Mr Ben.. he's so much of a regular at Petals, the kitchen has this "Mr Ben's Menu" a post-it in the kitchen. so when he dines in, we will just go to the kitchen and shout out "AH BEN'S!" ...he doesnt look at the menu, he will just tell us what he wants.. like for example for this appetizer he always wants plain scramble eggs with no oil, no cheese, no pepper or salt..on 2 bread toast.. main course will be salmon set, more salmon no prawns, sauteed potatoes and poached vege, with thousand island and tar tar sauce on the saucer..

yeah and today he asked for an additional brownie with no garnish, no icing sugar. but the brownie pieces we have on the display counter has all the decorations.. so the pastry student had to retrive the brownie frm the freezer, heat up and all.. naturally, special requests will take more time isn't it? he waited for abt 10mins, left angrily saying we did not serve the brownie fast enough.. and he doesnt want it anymore.. .... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ..... *grrrr*

oh ya! last thursday, was the headwaitress for the day, so i was at the door welcoming the guest. saw 2 guys young guys.. both in their early 20s i guess.. one botak and the other guy i thought he's good looking.. those tan, sporty, nice hair kinda guy.. and a good add-on was he had this very nice smile! so naturally i started to notice him more.. was about to walk to Rebecca's station to tell her abt this guy lah.. den Sze Mun stopped me.. she told me to watch the 2 guys closely.. den she told me one of them is mute.. the good looking guy.. he's mute.. oh man.. for a moment i just stood there at look at him.. he was typing msgs on his phone and showing his fren.. den his fren will ans by typing another msg.. that made me wonder if he's deaf too. Life. Unfair isn't it? hmm.. *lots thoughts abt that*

friday was supposed to go to Petals as usual, but was sent back to school for Banquet Event.. it was reallllll tiring. super duper boring. and i really hate it! the only good thing was the company of Yang Heng and Zhan Yi, everything else was... .... .. ....

it was a buffet event, and we thought wahhh buffet good lah, dun have to serve.

WORST lah.

we gotta clear. and u knw buffet ppl use lots of plates.. lotsa utensils.. grrr.. clearing nonstop frm 11am to 2.30pm. theres only myself and the 2 guys ard who are really doing the work. 3 peeps against like 100pax of never ending plates.. tough tough tough.. but i hold on and tell myself is gonna end.. 2.30 and off we go!

HAH. dream on!

after the whole event, we were told to go to Horizons (A training restaurant in Shatec) sickening washing up starts there.. ok by then i was damn pissed. we come back to wash? its not our job! the banquet staff just wash a few and leave the rest to us. like idiots u knw.. washing tonnes of plates.. grrr..

its not the end.

after washing up, we gotta sort everything to tens and fives and wrapped them up in the plastic wrappers.

left at close to 5. and Zhan Yi, Yang Heng and Myself concluded that on that particular day, BANQUET SUCKS. to think even Yang Heng was grumbling and complaining as much as i am.. u knw how ok-ok he is to everything. he wasn't feeling good too!.. grrr.

worked today too.. waking at early on a saturday morning.. standing there with not many guests coming in.. yeah, wasnt too good either. but glad im done with it! had a good dinner at Oasis just now.. makes up for all the standing..

oh ya, went for Rob-B-Hood movie with Wei Zhong on friday night. damn good one.. Jackie Chan and his usual kungfu moves.. well mixed with comedy and a few touching scenes. definitely worth watching! catch it if u can peeps.. =))

signing off with this 2 well bloomed flowers in my garden.. Dad loves them and is proud that his chicken sai is working well on the soil.. haha!
